Conversation是对话的统称，dialogue专指有台词的对话，或者集体或国家间意见的交换，dialogue属于conversation。

(1) Conversation 对话；交谈

I had an enlightening conversation with your father today.

我和你爸爸今天的对话很有启发性。

John isn‘t the best at making conversation, but he‘s a great friend.

约翰不是很擅长和别人交谈，但是他是个很好的朋友。

(2) Dialogue（书、戏剧或电影中的）对话；对白

The dialogue is very slow, so I never finished the book.

这本书的对话节奏很慢，所以我一直没看完。

(3) Dialogue（集体或国家间为解决问题、结束争端等进行的）对话

Their dialogue centered around their current trade policies.

他们的对话集中在当前的贸易政策上。
