Wu Da, is the short name of Wuhan University (“Wu” means Wuhan city while “Da” means Da Xue in Chinese equal to university), which is one of the top 10 Chinese universities locating in the capital city of Hubei province, China.
武大，是武汉大学的简称（“武”指武汉市，“大”指大学的意思），位于中国湖北省省会城市武汉市内。
On the campus of Arts and Science, nearing southern side of the Lion Mountain（nowadays called Luo Jia Mountain）, there is a well-known avenue of 600 meters in length. Due to romantic oriental cherry blossom planted all over the streetside, it was given a romantic name called “The Cherry Blossom Avenue （Ying Hua Road, 樱花大道）”. The avenue is the best view point for cherry blossom in the Wu Da campus.
校园内，文理学部校区的狮子山（现称“珞珈山”）南坡，有一条全长600米的著名景观，因道路侧边种满樱花树，被称之为“樱花大道”。它是武汉大学校园内的最佳赏樱地点。
When meets the cherry blossom period from middle of March to beginning of April each year, the amazing view of cherry flowers attracted lots of tourists . It is called “Wuhan University’s Cherry Blossom Season” which generally will last for 2 weeks around.
适逢每年的3月中下旬至4月上旬花期，樱花绚烂开放时，吸引游客如织。这大约为期两周的时间段，即成为“武大樱花季”。
