基本定义：to allow, to permit 允许

to allow to enter or leave 允许进入或离开

ex. Please let us in ! It’s cold!

请让我们进去!好冷!

ex. ( Police ) I’ll let you go with a warning.

我会允许你离开，但还是要警告你!

use with imperative ; to request, propose 要求.提议(与命令一起使用)

这是比较正式的说法
