大多数高考英语考纲词汇集，只列了单词、词性和词义，没有例句和辨析讲解。笔者试图在考纲词汇的基础上，给出例句或短语，并对个别重点词汇作出讲解、辨析，希望对老师的教学和学生的学习有所帮助。

知识在于积累。在没有特殊原因的情况下，我计划根据考纲词汇，争取坚持每天讲解几个单词，不断更新。忙很了，也可能过几天才能更新。

在讲解过程中，错误在所难免，希望读者在发现错误的时候，及时在评论区给予批评、指正。

independent a.独立的，自由的：

India became independent in1947..印度于1947年独立。

indicate v.表明，表示：

The survey results seem to indicate a connection between poor housing conditions and bad health.

调查结果表明，居住条件差与健康不佳之间似乎存在着某种关系。

industryn.[C,U]工业；勤奋：

Trade helps the development of industry. 贸易促进工业的发展。

He won the prize through industry. 他靠勤奋获奖。

infervt.推断：

I infer from your letter that you have not made up your mind yet.

我从你信中推断，你还没有下决心。

influence n./v.影响（力），作用：

She used her influence with the chairman to get me the job.

他利用对主席的影响使我得到了这份工作。

inform v.（正式）通知（某人）；告知：

They thought it better to inform the police.他们认为最好告知警方。

Please inform us of any change of address as soon as possible.

地址如有变更，请尽早通知我们。

informationn.[U]信息；通知，告知：

information desk 问讯处

injure v.受伤，伤害：

One of the players injured his knee and had to be carried off.一个队员膝盖受伤被抬至场外。

injury n.（对身体的）伤害，损害：

The driver of the lorry sustained only minor injuyies to legs and arms.

卡车司机只是四肢受了点轻伤。

inkn.[U]墨水：

Please write in ink. 请用钢笔写。

inn n.小酒馆，小旅馆：

We’re staying at the Holiday Inn.我们住在假日酒店。

innocent a.无罪的，无辜的：

Nobody would believe that I was innocent.没人肯相信我是无罪的。

He is innocent of murder.他没犯杀人罪。

insect n.昆虫：

an insect bite一个昆虫叮咬的伤口。

insiden.[C]内部 adv.& prep.在内部；在…里面：

There is a label on the inside of the box. 盒子内侧有个标签。

insistv.坚持：

I insist on your being there. 我坚持要你在那里。

【注意】1.其后不能直接跟名词或代词作宾语，也不能接不定式或动名词作宾语。后接名词时借助介词on，后接动词时要用on doing sth：

He insisted on this point. 他坚持这一点。

He insisted on seeing us home. 他一定要送我们回家。

2. 后接that从句时，若表示“坚持要”(从句所指内容只是想法，不是事实)，从句谓语用“用should 动词原形”这样的虚拟语气；若表示“坚持说”(从句内容不是想法，而是事实)，从句谓语用陈述语气：

I insisted that he (should) go. 我一定要他去。

I insisted (that) he was wrong. 我坚持认为他错了。
