active用法

active的基本含义为“活动的，活跃的，积极的”，应注意以下用法：

1. 用作表语和定语。如：

Although he is over 80, he is still very active.

他虽然年过八十，但还是很活跃。

He is one of the most active members of the club.

他是这个俱乐部最活跃的成员之一。

2. 用于搭配be active in（积极参加），习惯上不用于体育方面：

误：He is active in sports.

正：He is active in politics.

act 用法

1. 名词 行为，行动

如：Her first act was to shut the door. 她做的第一件事就是关门。

2. 动词 行动

如：He did not act upon my order. 他没有按我的命令行动。

3. 扮演

如：The director preferred her to act the old lady. 导演认为她还是演那老太太比较好。

action 用法

1. 名词 动作

如：The action of picking the baby up had made her back ache. 抱起婴儿的动作使她背痛。

2. take action 采取行动

如：The government finally took some actions because the public had been pressing for inquiry into the question. 由于公众一再坚持调查这一问题，政府终于采取了一些措施。
