今天是2017年11月16日，官方消息称北京从昨天起开始供暖。北京每年冬天一般11月中旬开始供暖。也就是说，在北京生活的人要忍受10月下旬一直到11月中旬的寒冷，很多人天天盼着来暖气。本蟹的家乡贵州是没有暖气的，“毛毛雨一下就是一个月，屋里屋外一样冷”，来到北京生活之后，觉得有暖气还是比较幸福的*_*。今天我们来看一看“暖气”用英语怎么说。
“暖气”的英语是heating（英国英语）或heat（美国英语）。
现在大部分暖气系统的原理是：在一个地方把水加热，然后热气顺着已经安好的管道到达各个住户。这种系统叫central heating，也就是我们经常说的“集中供暖”。
有时候，我们会说这样的话，“我家的暖气坏了，摸着根本就不热。”这个“暖气”是指与供暖系统连接的散热器，对应的英语是radiator。
用暖气就要涉及到暖气费，“暖气费”的英语是heating costs（请注意是复数），而“交暖气费”叫pay the heating bill，现扩充一下交各种费的说法：

2. frozen 冻僵了
frozen也可以说成frozen stiff，专门用来形容人或人的身体部位。也就是说，frozen的用法比freezing要窄一点，freezing不仅可以用来形容人或人的身体部位，而且可以用来形容其他事物，如上面的freezing cold station platform。

这个短语可以表示“极度寒冷”，是一种夸张的说法，和中文的“冷死了”精确对应。也可以表示真正的冻死，也就是一些俄罗斯大叔喝了太多伏特加倒睡街头的悲惨结局。
