如何翻译中文的成语四字结构.

成语时常出现在上海英语高考卷翻译中，给试卷增添了一点色彩，也增加了一定难度。近几年高考翻译中出现的成语都是我们生活学习中常见的。因此，平时对学过的成语（四字结构）的收集、整理、归类是非常必要的。对于成语（四字结构）的翻译，很少有中英文可以直接对应，需要在理解中文成语，四字结构的基础上采用意译的方法，即摆脱原句结构的束缚，用简单地道的英语来表达汉语意思，主要做到两点：一是“信”，即意思准确；二则是“达”，即文字通顺，而绝非形式一致。比对：“三言两语”就是用几句话的意思，英译为“in a few words”；“引人人胜”就是非常吸引人的意思，即“so attractive”；“欣喜若狂”就是高兴得不得了的意思，即“be wild with joy“。“刮目相看”就是用新的眼光来看，即“look at sb.
